My motto in life is

'Do something everyday that scares you'.

I started off my working life as a Probation Officer, working in a young offenders prison in Dublin. Through my work with the inmates I saw what a difference having somebody to talk to can make to a person's life. I was hooked on the power of the one to one session and retrained as a counsellor, gaining a First Class Masters in Counselling from University College Cork.

I am a Senior Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My membership number is 572426. I work within the BACP’s Ethical Code of Conduct. I have an enhanced DBS check and Professional Liability Insurance.

  • I have worked with refugees and asylum seekers at an Immigration Removal Centre
  • I have worked in a Barnardos school for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • I  work with a number of employee assistance programmes, using Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
  • I am a Critical Incident Psychological First Aider, providing on site debriefing after traumatic incidents
