I love travelling for how it challenges my brain. Going somewhere new I have to explore to get the lay of the land in order to be able to orientate myself and figure out how to get around. Venice stretched my hippocampus to the max as there were no Ubers or taxis that I could jump in to get me to my destination. I had to read the map (not a natural skill of mine!) to figure out which bridges and canals to cross to get around the city.
